Dog & Cat Annual Exams in Zionsville
Your pet’s health is always our number one priority, which is why for most pets we recommend annual wellness exams to ensure that your animal companion remains in good health. Let us provide professional care for your pet, no matter their stage of life. A physical exam is performed at every wellness visit, think of it as your pet’s yearly physical! Our team will also make recommendations on vaccines, preventatives, and blood work.
If your pet has been seen by a veterinarian within the past year and they are due for a wellness visit, consider scheduling with our nursing team. With a current veterinary client patient relationship, you can schedule your pet’s annual exam with one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians. Our nurses are trained to perform physicals, administer vaccines, and make recommendations regarding dental care and parasitic prevention. We are confident in our nurses to provide your pets with the best care! We currently only offer this type of appointment on Mondays.
Is Your Pet a Senior?
If your pet is a senior–seven or older for dogs and cats–we suggest twice-yearly exams and blood screenings. That’s because pets age more rapidly than humans, meaning disease and illness develop faster as well.
Community Pet Healthcare’s veterinarian-performed physical exams comprehensively assess every aspect of your pet’s health. Wellness exams typically include:
- Ear exam
- Eye exam
- Rectal exam
- Dental exam
- Skeletal exam
- Reproductive system exam
- Internal health evaluation
- Neurological evaluation
- Cardiovascular evaluation
- Nutrition consultation
- Behavior counseling
